The Frederic Chopin International Competition of young pianists brought together 50 musicians from 11 countries. The international jury chaired by Professor Peep Lassmann, included Professor Pavel Kaminski (Poland), Teppo Koivisto (Finland), Toms Ostrovskis (Latvia) and Victor Portnoy (Russia).

Azerbaijan’s pianist Narmina Ismailova won the 2nd Prize of the 11th Chopin international competition of young pianists in the Estonian town of Narva.

Narmina, who performed Chopin’s Waltz in E-flat major, opus 18, also joined a traditional gala concert of winners in Tallinn accompanied by the Narva Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Anatoly Schura.
